"Is India only for Hindus", asked the Bombay HC

The Bombay High Court expressed deep anguish over civic body’s move to promote Hanuman Chalisa in association with Paddareshwar Ram Mandir Trust at the event to create awareness about AIDS. The event scheduled at Kasturchand Park.
The PIL was heard three times and the court made it clear that they were not against any religious programme but the government agencies associated with it.
“Is India only for Hindus”; asked Bombay HC to Maha Civil body.
However, the division bench disposed the case after accepting the statements of NMC and Tiwari that they were only associated with AIDS programme not the Hindu religion recital.
The judges strenly asked to keep an hours gap between the two programmes.
