Will try to bring back Kohinoor: Indian Government

A day after solicitor general Ranjit Kumar told the Supreme Court that the Kohinoor cannot be brought back as it is not stolen, the Centre rushed to clarify that the law officer’s remarks could not be interpreted as the government’s stand.
The government said it will make all possible measures to bring the Kohinoor diamond back to India.
The cultural minister said: ” The government of India further reiterates it’s resolve to make possible efforts to bring back Kohinoor diamond in an amicable manner”.
