Safecity is an online platform created to map areas of sexual abuse – ranging from comments to physical abuse and rape. All it requires is to fill a simple form about the location where the abuse occurred and the category of abuse.
This gets plotted on a map and in time will create “hotspots” or unsafe areas in a city. The organisation hopes that in time the website will be a tool for various agencies to identify these unsafe localities in a city and would help them work towards making the city safe again.
Breakthrough is a global human rights organization working to make violence discrimination against women and girls unacceptable.
Their cutting-edge multimedia campaigns, community mobilization, agenda-setting, and leadership training equip men and women worldwide to challenge the status quo and take bold action for the dignity, equality, and justice of all.
UN HeForShe is a solidarity campaign for gender equality initiated by UN Women. It aims to engage men as agents of change for the achievement of gender equality and women’s rights, by encouraging them to take action against girls.
Grounded in the idea that gender equality is an issue that affects all people — socially, economically and politically — it seeks to actively involve men and boys in a movement that was originally conceived as “a struggle for women by women”
The organizing committee seeks to further the causes of these organisations, and invites solution centric papers from the Academicians, practitioners, Researchers, Scholars and Students for presentation and participation in the seminar based on the following agendas,

1. Portrayal of the Genders: The Role of Cinema
