CSJ provides survivors of sexual violence free legal support throughout criminal proceedings, from when they report the abuse to police till judgment. It works on the ground—at the police station, hospitals and courts—advising government authorities on the law, supporting our clients and monitoring the progress of cases. It works with trustworthy partners to ensure clients and their families receive the care and support they need to begin healing from the trauma they have suffered.
CSJ is calling for applications from qualified Indian advocates for a two-year Fellowship program. CSJ’s Fellowship Program is a two-year program that serves as an apprenticeship for young professionals. The program develops young advocates into leaders who have refined and practical professional skills, high standards of personal and professional ethics and a heart to serve the poor and disadvantaged.
Fellows will directly represent clients of sexual violence throughout criminal proceedings, advocating for their best interests starting at the police station till judgment. The position is based in Delhi, India and requires little if any travel outside the area.
Besides the practical experience of handling cases of sexual violence, Fellows receive training in Leadership development, Soft skills development & Professional skills development.
