A sting operation reportedly shows that the Chief Minister of Uttarakhand, Harish Rawat offering Rs. 5 crore each for the return of three Congress MLAs has set the political heat up in the hill state.
Sources said a meeting of the Cabinet is called to discuss the political situation in Uttarakhand.
BJP demanded for President’s Rule in the hill state where the CM has no right to continue after the sting operation purportedly showed him bargaining with the rebel MLAs to win their support leading to “breakdown of the constitutional machinery”.
