AG challenges the constitutional validity of Aadhaar(Targeted Delivery of Financial and Other Subsidies, Benefits and Services) Act,2016

The SC sought out the AG’s stand challenging the Aadhaar Act in Parliament as ‘money bill’.
Jairam Ramesh’s PIL challenging that the Act is unconstitutional and an attempt to  bypass the approval of Rajya Sabha which is very important for democratic framework.
The bench without issuing notice to Union Government asked the top law officer of Narendra Modi to present his stand.
