Jayalalithaa orders 500 liquor shops closed.

Ms. Jayalalithaa. had promised to implement prohibition in the State in phases, also signed a file to close down 500 liquor outlets, an official release stated. Chief Minister Jayalalithaa signed a few files including one that reduced the business hours of State-run liquor shops across the State by two hours. From Tuesday, Tasmac outlets across the State would open only at noon instead of 10 a.m. and remain open till 10 p.m.
