Right to Education of Women

Introduction.
Every woman has the human right to education, training and information, and to other fundamental human rights is dependent upon realization of the human right to education.Equality of access to all levels of education is crucial to empower women and girls to participate in economic, social and political life of their societies.Education unlocks a woman¹s potential, and is accompanied by improvements in health, nutrition, and well-being of women and their families.
Despite widespread agreement that all people have the fundamental human right to education, 100 million children, at least 60% of them are girls who do not have access to primary education. 960 million adults in the world are illiterate, and more than twothirdsof them are women.Women and girls continue to face discrimination at all levels of education, a fact which poses tremendous obstacles to their advancement and we cannot ignore this fact.
Despite progress, girls and women continue to be discriminated against in accessing education and within the education systems. 57 million children worldwide, including 31 million girls, are out of school and two thirds of illiterate adults are women. In developing countries, adolescent girls are more likely to drop‐out of secondary school than boys, particularly in rural areas. There are many reasons that prevent girls from going to school. Poverty, pregnancy, school‐based violence, child marriage and discriminatory gender norms are some of the major obstacles to girls’ education worldwide. School fees, the threat of violence on the way to and in school, and the perceived benefits of girls’ domestic work also keep girls out‐of‐school. Pregnancy and child marriage cut short adolescent girls’ schooling before they have completed secondary school this all are types of things that should be stopped.
We have great example who has proved that education is also for girls. She is also brave fighter and known for symbolizing the education for girls. She is none other but Malala.
“Stand up for Malala Standup for girls’ right to education!” is the rallying cry of an advocacy-event, taking place at UNESCO’s Paris Headquarter son 10December, the United Nations Human Rights Day Organized by UNESCO and the Government of Pakistan, the event accelerates political action to ensure every girl’s right to go to school, and to advance girl’s education as an urgent priority for achieving education for all.The event pays tribute to Malala Yousafazi.

My opinion
According to me education is for all no one should be denied of it, then why not for women and girls they also have the right to get it.why to deny this right from them.Government should take major steps to eradicate this problem from root then only women and girl in our society will upgrade and know their rights.
